    Upgrading to Joomla 3.7

Posted 7 years 11 months ago
    • Hi,

Have you had any issues upgrading the Hexeris template to version 3.7 as I'm having issues accessing the frontend with the message:

xxx redirected you too many times.
      ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

      Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

      Regards,

      Bob

    • Hi Bob,

thank you for the details. I set Beez as the default template and made sure it's also assigned to the home page instead of Hexeris, but the error is the same, which leads me to believe that Hexeris itself is not at fault. I reset my changes after the test.

I'll ask some team members for further help.

    • This is caused by having your home menu item set to "registered" access and also having the site in offline mode. I changed the home menu item to "public" and then you can get to the offline login page but also there are issues in Joomla 3.7 with this too... see https://issues.joomla.org/tracker/joomla-cms/15730 .

    • Hi Mark,

      Thanks for fixing the issue.

Strange how it work in 3.6.2 though.

      Regards,

      Bob

    • Why strange? Joomla do makes mistakes - they're humans too... Joomla 3.7 does seem to have a number of issues that need to be resolved by them.

      Regards, Mark.
