    RocketTheme Update for 06/14/2017

Posted 7 years 10 months ago
    • Hey there everyone,

This has been a busy couple of weeks at RocketTheme. We just released Flux for Joomla, and the WordPress and Grav editions are on the way in the near future.

Flux is a clean, modern template. We put some really interesting features in it, including a calendar that you can load with events, links, etc. There's even a Chart particle that you can use to create a graph on the fly with very little effort.

One note on the Calendar partcile: It uses the language pack loaded on the page to determine how it displays dates. For example, in the USA we start our weeks with Sunday. That isn't the case worldwide, but if you want to have your weeks start with Sunday, we recommend using en-US as your language.

Documentation will be done for it this week. Since it just got released I'm only now sitting down with the final version, taking screenshots, and writing up the guides.

That's the update for this week. Thanks everyone!

    • Calendar - very cool particle. No image insertion capability.

Ryan what about the particle library? Do you have it in your plans?
Seeking particles in templates takes a long time.

The text field for the calendar's event items is HTML friendly, so you can certainly add images to the descriptions of your events. We found very little reason to add images to it as the vast majority of calendar applications don't support images.

However, I've passed this feedback on to our dev team.

We agree this would be great to have, however, I can not comment on a product or service we haven't announced. The moment we have something along those lines to announce I will share every bit of the information I can.

What I can say is that we are a small team and our core focus, as always, is on creating great templates for our members.
