- Fireboard is no were near as powerful as SMF and phpbb3 so would not be suited for the Joomla forums, and with it being quite buggy as well, it would have been a poor choice.

I'm a phpbb fan. Always have been. It just seems more intuitive to me.
That said, I do love the community possibilities with CB/Groupjive/Fireboard
I wonder how long it will be before phpbb3 can equal or replace Fireboard in that context?
