Can videos be embedded in templates without video particle?

  • Can videos be embedded in templates without video particle?

    • Hello. Looking through the detail pages for your various templates, it appears that it was with "Citadel" that you began including a "video" particle. Does this mean that it is not possible to embed a YouTube within earlier templates? Or is it just that the video particle makes the process easier? In other systems, I have copied HTML embed-code from YouTube to place a video within a web page. Can I do this in Joomla when using pre-Citadel RocketTheme templates? If so, what is the recommended procedure?

      Thank you.

    • All the video particle does is create a div that contains the embed script, and make configuring the options within that script easier by bringing it to a form.

You could theoretically paste the youtube embed code anywhere you want on your website. A custom Html particle is our preferred method, but you could just as well do it within a Joomla module or WordPress Widget. Just create the module/widget position and assign it.
