    • I am using the latest Gantry 4 theme.
I began using JCH Optimize to speed up the site.
However, there are some issues on the site limiting it.

Here is a message from JCH Optimize about the issues:
"I have found parsing errors in the following CSS files, in particular the first two, that seems to affect the way the combined file affects the site, especially when the Optimize CSS Delivery option is enabled:

      /templates/gantry/css-compiled/master-9134b9c03bcb96f3a27f6dc787860d2d.css
      /templates/gantry/css/gantry-custom.css

To verify the errors, copy and paste the contents of these files in csslint.net/ . See the following article for more information on how to do this:
      www.jch-optimize.net/documentation/troub...ding-offending-files "

I used the csslint.net tool and got the following results:
      For the /templates/gantry/css-compiled/master-9134b9c03bcb96f3a27f6dc787860d2d.css file:
      www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3751040/...c4ffc1067e87d66e887f

      For the /templates/gantry/css/gantry-custom.css file:
      www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3751045/...36ddac406e00251c0291

I apprciate any help you can provide.

    • Sorry but we don't provide support for third-party products. Nor can we do performance tuning on your site for your within the scope of this support forum and it can take a considerable amount of time.

But I can tell you the following advice:
      1. Some "checkers" will report parsing errors in CSS because our CSS file have to contain CSS instructions for every browser that we support. Browser only recognise there specific commands and will ignore anything else, but checkers can report these as "parsing errors" when in fact there is no issue.

      2. You should do the "checker" test WITHOUT jch_optimize enabled and AFTER you have cleared server cache too as many of the reported issue are likely caused by what jchg_optmize itself has done with the files.

      3. Somethings have to load in a certain order or cannot be compressed at all - so you have to add exclusions to your compressor(jch_optimize) settings to prevent these files being processed.

      4. The "errors" reported are often "academic" in nature and can be ignored. What really counts is your real-world response times.

      Regards, Mark.
