    • If I create a new module, how do I insert links and content into it. I've noticed that on a lot of the templates, there are images inside modules with the links on them, I can't work out how to recreate this

Hi Penn, there are several ways to do this. One is the latest news module, and there are several other module extenstions for Joomla that will display content in various ways. Or you can go to your list of modules, create a new module, insert the image and intro text to an article, and link it yourself if you want to do things the manual way.

    • Thanks, putting links in the latest news module was something I didn't know about until now. I worked out how to create a new module and put an image in it. The problem is, I want an image to fit the module perfectly, at the moment there is a gap top and bottom and to the left little it. How do you go about making an image that the module properly?

    • You're welcome Penn, I'm fairly new to Joomla myself and was trying to figure out the same thing about a week ago. I'm not sure about how to go about making a module the exact size of an image. I'd guess your answer probably lies in the margins pertaining to the modules inside the .css style sheet.

There are a couple web development plugins for Firefox that let you change the .css and see what it will look like before actually changing it on your site. I believe the plugin I use is called "Web Developer."

    • If you see the Mediamogui theme you will find how easy is create images inside a modules... I suggest that you play with that and see whats inside each module/content

    • Okay, I'm starting to get a picture of how this is done now. One thing that is confusingly is there is a module called "module user 1" this seems to have some HTML that gives the title of the module colour and also adjusts any links on that module. In fact, this is what is in the description. Am I right in saying that this alters the look of the heading in the module on user one? There are two others for user 1 and user 2 as well

      User1 -headline-red
Subtitle headline This is the User1 position with the -headline-red module class suffix. You can enter this in the Module Manager. The Subtitle is formed with the following HTML code, <span class="headline"> Subtitle </span> or <span class="headline-red"> Subtitle </span>. The latter is whether your hilite is not that of the original, i.e. a blue subtitle within a green hilite.

However, something is confusingly. This module is activated on module variations which is on the main menu. I'm not sure what this means.

    • I'm not sure if this helps, but here goes.
Let's say that you want to apply the -headline-red module class to the User1 position of MediaMogul:
Log in the admin backend, choose Modules/ Site Modules.
In the Module Manager screen, click on the module which is set to the user1 position that you want to apply the module class to.
In the Site Module Edit screen type -headline in the module class text box and click Save.
Log out and view your changes.

      Cheers
