I'm trying to do an override on the carousel paricle. I've copied the carousel .yaml and .twig files to custom/paricles folder, but can't see where I can make the edits.
My carousel photos are portraits and when I show the item title on the photo it is vertically centered over the face. I'd like to have it placed on the bottom.
Also, my background is white, so the Prev/Next arrows don't display until hovered. I'd like to change the color of the arrows.
Can you point me to where I would make these changes?

I wouldn't think you'd need a particle override to change those items. That should be possible with just custom CSS.
To create a custom CSS compatible with Gantry 5 please read this http://docs.gantry.org/gantry5/tutorials/adding-a-custom-style-sheet .
Remember to recompile CSS from base outline too.
