Hello, I am new here. I am also new to Joomla.
Can you please tell me where to edit the properties for the main window on my front page, the one where it says by default (a few articles) "Welcome to Joomla", "We are Volunteers", "Stick to the Code", etc... I do NOT want this window at all. Is it a module?
Please help!!

Basically, I want to remove the entire "window" of the articles contained in the "Front Page Manager". I tried to remove the articles individually, but the empty box is still displayed.

You can unpublish any articles that are published but then you will get the "There are no Items to display" message - the area that you want to remove is the mainbody and removing it would require editing the index.php file - this will affect every page on the site.
Another solution may be to see this thread and simply edit your language file to remove the "There are no Items to display" message when no articles are published to the front page.. - Last Edit: 17 years 2 months ago by Bob Ateah.
