Why is Rocketheme doing this to us?

- I Have been using your templates for many years, its works, but it starting to shows its age. No longer tamplates are released or updated. Why don't you guys say something? Do something? Other day posted a topic asking for help, the answer was, subscribe to premier to get suport, no i will not. Not because i do not want to, but because don't see why i should, there is no new tamplates or updates, there is nothing anymore. Want my money? Give me something on exchange. If it is no longer possible, please tell us, we want to help, but how? If the owner is no longer interested on this bussiness, try to sell it to someone else, or if this is not possible, why not to make it community driven? Please, say something, do something! Do not leave us without hope.

Dude they don't want to give you or anyone the answers you seek.
The writing is on the wall.
No new templates in nearly 2 years, some minor updates (bug or compatibility fixes) to some of the existing templates in the last 2 years.
IF you look at rockettheme.com/product-updates its pretty clear what is going on.
They will say they have a small team these days and they are working hard to patch and update the templates (nothing new, just compatibility fixes, really the bare minimum). If you look at the page above, you will see most Joomla template updates happened in 2022.
Really they are just hoping to get money from those oblivious to what is going on.
The argument the few that do reply from RT is that, its a small team, and they are busy updating templates. Well sorry to say for Joomla that was in 2022. They would also probably argue they released new RocketLaunchers, but other than being a newbie, that does nothing for most of the clientelle.
JUST SAY THE TRUTH, OR SAY WHAT IS THE PLAN MOVING FORWARD. If the end result is no more new templates, or maybe one new template every 1-2 years, just say it. As many have already said, them saying nothing at all or very little says enough of what you need to know. If you want a template provider that is constantly innovating or releasing new designs, it isn't RocketTheme.
Personally I just use Gantry and the Helium and Hydrogen templates now. They're free and work perfectly for my needs.
If you want or have one of the other paid templates, there is no reason to pay or renew the subscription. They aren't releasing any new ones, and the updates are already nearly 2 years old (again which are just fixes and don't add anything of value beyond that). And if you are the person who believes in resubscribing to help support them, consider they don't have the decency to reply with a straight answer other than "If Andy has anything to share he will". Well people have been whining for that to happen for 2 years + now, so doubtful it will happen. Thanks Andy.
Really none of us owe RocketTheme nothing at this point if they can't be decent to respond to our concerns or questions. They are only in it now to get whatever cash they can from those not knowledgable of what is going on, which sadly is NOTHING.

Yeah I have been using RocketTheme since Joomla 1.5
The sad truth is they seem to be done producing anything new.
All their Extensions are done, which is fine.
But no new templates at all...
I agree that you can just use Gantry and the Free Helium Template.
My suggestion is just use those and then Smart Slider 3 for coolness.

They at least keep coming out with new Sliders that you can put in any section of Helium... or Hydrogen.
Or you can pay for one of these older Templates that have more Positions and Particles and stick with it and again use something like Smart Slider 3 to give you some wizbang modern look. At least that is what I am doing.
It really is sad. They even make these templates for Wordpress and still apparently aren't making enough money to have the support and such that they had years ago. I do really wish they would communicate that they are simply done making new templates. It certainly isn't worth paying a yearly subscription any more. - Love Joomla! & RocketTheme.
