Splash page with login module only... Possible?

I'm currently working on a private site where the entire thing needs to be accessible only after logging in... I want to make a splash page with nothing but a logo and a login module (no menus, no content).
(I'm using the Simplix template for the site itself.)
I was just wondering what the best way to achieve this would be...

- Don't ask me where, but I did see a 'lightbox' login that displayed over index.php of the site until the username and password were entered... maybe over at joomla.org.
