    Moving over to rockethemes

Posted 17 years 2 months ago
    • Can anyone help?

I have a frontpage webist that I want to transfer articles over to rocket themes template.

When I copy and paste over the articles in questions the tables dont have the rocket theme format when I save them, they keep the format of the website that they came from.

How can I make sure that they take on the rocket theme format for tables, headings and so on?

    • Link to site in question?
      PM if you wish.

Viewing source depends on your browser and version of browser.
It basically allows you to see the html codes - most likely your pasting references to the old site or the html code has inline style applied to them.

    • so every bit that said class something or other I could do a searh and replace and put in the class of dimensions. If so, is there a list of the dimensions classes I should use for tables, bullets, arrows and so on?

    • Remove the conflicting inline style entries and inheritance takes over for the most part.
Some of the additional styles in RT templates you need to add to your html codes for them to appear.
See the great tutorials for the template your using - the details are covered there.

    • I have read the tutorials and have had great difficulty. They are fine if you do one page with a few bits, but when you have several hundred articles to do it makes you wonder if it is worth it.

I am finding the potenail huge but the practicallity a nightmare.
