PNG for all webbrowsers
Posted 17 years 1 month ago
Helo!
I have i dum question about png.
I´m doing my png files Transparency (for example logos) in Adobe Photoshop cs and when i save them i do it whit Save for web and PNG-24.
The problem is that the file don´t work in IE 6.0.
In Firefox and IE 7.0 it looks fine and perfect, but in IE 6.0 the background is not transparency, it is white.
My question after my long text is:
How do i do my png files to work in all webbrowsers? (IE 6.0, IE 7.0, Firexfox etc. etc.)
Thanks/Tommy

Only PNG8 with alpha transparency works with IE6, or you can use a PNGfix which allows you to use PNG32

I know Fireworks has that option, i.e. saving as PNG32. With that, the templates inbuilt pngfix would make it right.

The PNGfix was integrated from April of last year, so from ColorMatic onwards. There are extensions out there to do it for you such as Ultimate PNGfix from
