    PHPMotion and Joomla/Rocktheme

Posted 16 years 11 months ago
    • I am trying to use a youtube clone app called phpmotion ( www.phpmotion.com ). Does any one has any experience using or integrating this app with Joomla (Rockettheme template)? If so, how will one go about doing so?

Also, this is my first run with Joomla, does anyone has any suggestion of a reliable host for Joomla sites? Ther are several hosts out there claiming to support Joomla fully, but there are equally several customer complains about issues with server requirements not being fully met by those hosts.

      Please advise.

    • Sorry, can't help with the clone.

Have you tried Joomla's Seyret extension?

Brian, according to forum rules, the use of affiliate links is prohibited.

Ask the host whether they have phpsuexec installed. If they do, they should be good. Almost every host meets the requirements, but having phpsuexec means no permission problems.

    • I am running Joomla 1.5 native and from what I read about Seyret, it is 1.5 legacy. I am not sure what the integration of a legacy extension will mean for my joomla 1.5 native site and other extensions that rea fully 1.5 native.

Also, what will be the implication of using the wrapper to integrate the phpmotion app? Until a bridge is available, I don't want to worry too much about having an integrated user account esetup.
