monoslideshow and news module

Hey
I have this problems on almost all my sites....
I have a monoslideshow in header position on the first page and a recent news module in right module position.
But when the user clicks on any of the news items on the front page (which are linkable) they get the full news text as intended but the monoslideshow remains! Because they are still on the main/front page i guess. And if i use the default Home menu (Component - Front Page) i get the ... "There are no Items to display" message because i have no items published on fron page besides the monoslideshow module.
