    • That may be the only way to do it.

      If possible I would like to do what he did without modifying the header of phpbb3. Because after every PHPBB3 patch, there are template patches as well. Down the line this because an issue, because when you do a search and replace, the code isn't there since you have cut apart so much of the code. But for something as simple as this, it shouldn't be too much of an issue I suppose :/

    • At first editing looks like complex, but once you break it down it is not that bad. You only edit 1 file as well. If your a phpbb user this is easy compared to their modified hacks they use where you need to edit 5 or more files with 10 to 20 mintues.

      The people in phpbb did a nice job of putting comments that make it easier to see where the search form starts and ends
