    • Actually the updates to Gantry were to add a mobile detection library that the video function used. Also there were some updates to address some minor bugs we found in relation to presets and overrides. These mainly impacted us because our Demo server has to be able to change presets on a per-user basis. Anyway, the actual Video functionality is a Gantry feature that is defined in the template's features/ folder. You could however adapt this functionality to another template by copying the feature to another template's feature/ folder, and then implementing the appropriate LESS/CSS and anything else the feature requires. The video background feature really just takes some parameters and outputs the appropriate HTML5 video tag.

So yes, it's possible, but its not as trivial as just updating Gantry. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I don't know think that I will attempt it. Just got a bit excited because it's SO FREAKING COOL!

I would like to formally request that you implement this as an option on all future templates!

      Keep up the good work!

    • I updated Gantry on Graffito and K2 Frontend editing is still not functioning correctly. It's been approx 40 days now. Can someone tell me if this even being looked into by a developer?

      Something like this one: joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_lens/

      That is pretty cool.

I really, really, like that demo viewer that gives you the option of choosing your view (desktop, tablet, etc) so you can see what the template looks like for each view. That is really cool!!!
    • Thank you,

    • The masonary lag on those kinds of templates suck, roksprocket is a lot more responsive.

    • The main difference is that RokSprocket Mosaic has more "brain" in it.
It only loads what is needed means the Mosaic items are loaded via ajax.
Most "masonary" extensions just load everything and just hide or show.

Most people just love the masonry animation when you resize the window ... but seriously ... how many users out there are constantly changing the size of the browser window?
That's really just an effect to make designers or developers happy. Most visitors of "masonariezed" sites won't even see the effect.
