it is not only the scripting behind, henning.
its the look an feel in the frontend.
the frontend is the important part of the game.

and it is an form of minimalistic using of "designed" elements.
its called design and this one use the options in an smart art.
i for one think, its quite enough and not too much.

- For the record, many photographer sites that I have seen, use this type of flashy front end for a reason. Call it what you want, "masonary" or "cool". Either way, flashy works when you are dealing with photographers and other similar type sites.

the random select in the template is poor!
okay henning. this is true.
please do it with individuell ordering and or category select.
the random layout from the main position, going from left to center to right is fantastic.
would be great for rt to do an 'better' one!
graphic and logic at his best!

If you have requests ... add them in the "requests" forum.
Should be pretty simple to do a design like "lens" with the basic Gantry template.
Personally I try to avoid too many strong gradients /at least I try to keep the subtle) and I like a more graphical look too for my own projects.
But that's really a matter of taste

I really, really, like that demo viewer that gives you the option of choosing your view (desktop, tablet, etc) so you can see what the template looks like for each view. That is really cool!!!
You can do this now. I found a very neat tool that allows you to see how your site looks on different devices. It is called Screenfly from QuirkTools. Here is the URL to give it a test drive: http://quirktools.com/screenfly/ . Just type in the URL of your site and then you can toggle to the different devices to see how your site will be viewed on that device.

[I am not sure what they been doing but I know what ever it is they doing it don't involve providing support that is for sure.
