It is sad. Maybe it would be good to show the template (some screen) how it will look like before it is out when it is delayed. People who wait for a new template could have a look and decide whether to wait or not. Now I wait for 8 days because I need new template. And if it is not good for me I wait 8 days uselessly.
For example Joomlart does it this way.

This May template had best be one of the best ever! lol
I'd like to see a new real modern eCommerce template come out soon. One specifically designed for Hikashop would be the ultimate, since it really is the #1 Joomla eCommerce platform today.. Virtuemart was a big dissapointment in the end..
Yes, I know you can use them all for Hikashop etc, but most really are not suited for eCommerce, you have to do a lot of work to the template to simulate an eCommerce platform.

they should never do templates based on other paid components unless thats a total different plan plus if they were to do it that means they would have to purchase the component and monitor it and update it whenever that component changes. Thats alot more work then updating a theme to match joomla framework.

Hello all,
I haven't spoken with the dev team yet today but I would remind people that we have never committed to our template release being on the first of the month. That has always been our self-imposed goal and over the years we have managed that most of the time. Our agreed terms are to release a new template each month, and we have done that successfully.
We recognise that people are used to, and expect the new template release to be on the first of the month and that it is frustrating when we cannot deliver on that day. It is also frustrating for the team so we know how you feel.
As for third party inclusions in styling, that is an area we tried before and to be honest every time JomSocial or Virtuemart made a change we had to update the template. Believe me, that was no simple task. It is something we will monitor but so far it is unlikely that we will create a template for the specific inclusion of 3rd party ecommerce extensions.
I will update later today unless the team release it before I get back to the office.
Thanks for your patience

But the difference is thats your website and components you install. this is there business to make templates for joomla wordpress and so on. Would it be nice if the rockettheme team had time to integrate every major component available of course. But as a company its just not something they can do.
When i was using jomsocial everytime i had my templates up to date and working and looking good they would change code in there component that would send something out of alignment or out of wack. and thats just jomsocial. this is a monthly template agreement. if they had to update all the templates when third party components change we would have alot bigger delays then this monthly template. there is themes out there that do it already. why not just use one made for that. or hire a designer to implement it into your existing site. from what i see with that storefront component i dont see it as a hard thing to do yourself. even when rockettheme did a jomsocial template they didnt really make the component look that much different. it just followed colors. i dont think you will ever see these guys make standalone templates for that. they would make alot more money doing jomsocial templates that change the way it displays and looks and thats not being done.

Looking forward to the new template(even though I'm on the Wordpress club and it won't come for a few days still, I look at the Joomla template to know what to expect). I understand that things take time and problems arise. I wish people wouldn't be so impatient though. I want a new template as much as anyone. But still, people act like they have been betrayed. Pretending that you're losing so much as a business because you had to wait 8 days for a template to see if it is one you can use? And what if it isn't one you can use? You waited 8 days. If you have a project waiting on a new template you haven't seen yet, and it is so urgent, then certainly you wouldn't be waiting 8 days "just in case". That's just a fabricated excuse to demand a new template, IMO. Making stuff up like that isn't going to make the template come any faster, is it?
I shutter to think that anyone's business is depending on a new template coming that they haven't seen yet. And I shutter to think that ANYONE is somehow out any money or resources because a template might be 10 days late.
I work full time as a web designer like many or most of you. I have made the change to Gantry 5 as my framework for my clients. I design my Gantry 5 sites completely custom(I never use the club templates "as they are", but just grab bits and pieces and particles from them). I LOVE seeing what the new template will be. It is exciting! But I won't pretend that I'm somehow being screwed by waiting, just to try and make Rockettheme release something sooner.
Be patient guys. I'm sure that they won't just sit on the new template once it is done. That would be silly. Hopefully it will come today and all will be happy!

For David:
I am content to wait for my monthly dose of "candy" as long as I know the manufacturer is replenishing the supply. Thank you so much for giving us daily updates. We all "know" the team is working hard and want to get the new template out as much as we do. It just helps getting a daily update when it isn't released on the "NORMAL" schedule.
While not an absolute deadline, we are all chomping at the bit by the first and it eases tensions, frustrations and temper tantrums when we get a post it won't be much longer. It probably saves a few F5 buttons in the process.
