    • Hi there I have installed MediaMogul on my site and wanted to build on it by adding components for forum and photos - i've downloaded the components, and imported them into the site so they are both visible in my components list. what i have absolutely no idea about is how to get these new components into a page on the site - what sort of page do i need to create? do i need to use some html script somewhere... i'v searched help and forums for anything that looks helpful but haven't got there yet - so i'm sure that like much of this stuff it's so easy when you know what you're doing - but i don't!

      Also, can you tell me how i can create a user section for people to become contributors to the site?

    • Hi Yves, thanks for the tip - i didn't know this set of tutorials existed!

      one problem though the tutorial is for Joomla 1.0 and i am on 1.5. in step 2 of the tutorial it says i open the admin panel which is fine, then it just jumps straight to configuring the contact manager. with the two components I installed, both have come up under the components menu, but one 'Phoca' gives me a menu of it's own, while the other 'Agora' gives me nothing but a page of details on how the new version is better than the old.

      As the system i'm using is different to the tutorial you sent me to can you just let me know if i am missing anything out or if there is somewhere else in 1.5 that i need to go to be able to configure these components?

    • Ahh - sorry i see now what i need to do, this has taken the items through to the menu area as new options to add, i completely missed this last time.

      so problem fixed.

      can you help me with any direction for how to create a restricted 'user' area?

    • Hmm - more questions. So now i have created a menu entry for a forum - when i click on the entry in the site it gives the following message: File: /home/ifesgrad/public_html/components/com_agora/include/cache.php
      Line: 80

      AGORA reported: Unable to write configuration cache file to cache directory. Please make sure PHP has write access to the directory 'cache'

      Do i need to go through the process as with any other new page of creating a section and a category and then an article? or is there something else i need to do to attach the menu item to a real forum?

    • You need to change the permissions of the cache folder where Agora is trying to save the configuration file.

      You don't need to create a section, a category or an article. Just a link in your menu will make your forum show.

    • Hello Yves, this is all working very well now, though i eventually changed the forum module from Agora to Fireboard becasue i could find little support on the Agora site.

      I have another question regarding the MediaMogul template - I wish to edit the tags on the RokSlide module - I can change the content of the different sections without any problem - but I can't find any actual module for the RokSlide to allow me to reduce the number of tags or change their headings.

      If you have any insight on this I would really appreciate your help.
