    • Hello all,
I'm having an odd issue with my site. When I type in domain.com the site comes up fine. but when I type in www.domain.com , it brings me to the "Address not found" page. I was told this was a DNS problem, but I'm a novice and dont really know what to do with that ??? If anyone can shed any light or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated!

      Thanks

    • It would have been helpful to know the domain name becasue it might not just be a DNS issue?

First things first go to somewhere like dnsstuff.com and check that your domain records match your expectations i.e. www, FTP and mail records all pointing to the IP address of your webserver. If not go back to who ever is managing your domain name and ask them to update the relevant DNS records.

Secondly make sure your webserver is configured properly in that www.domain.com is recognised as an allias.

      Hope that helps

      Thanks Phil for your reply.
the domain is nwrestoration.com. Instead of dnsstuff.com I went to centralops.net since it is free. And being the newbie that I am, I'm not able to decipher the info that comes up. Is there a "class" or "type" that I need to special attention to?

      Thanks again for your help.
