Hi
OK I Joined RT and my membership is now expired. Could you Guys please let the expired membership subscribers to at least let them access to the forum posts which counts in the membership days??
I mean if the membership started Jan 12 - Apr 12 then why after membership expired we cannot access the forum completely to our dates? Now what to do if i need to see again the forum post in which I ask a question for a small How-to and after I rebuild the site I wanted to see again that tip but ALAS! I can't.........
So now you want that just to see that particular post i have to pay again few bucks more...
I would have thought a subscription includes the benefit of the "Member" Forum. If you are not a member then perhaps you should subscribe to receive those benefits.

I joined a membership before and now my membership expired too. When I joined, I was entitled to use 3 templates from the collections. I assume I can use these 3 "good" templates and I can always use them. And I supposed to get support for these 3 templates I chose to use.
Actually I used one only. I just use Vortex in Joomla 1.0.x and then I want to upgrade to Joomla 1.5. Now, I found there is problem in displaying the Buttons when using button menu in Vortex for Joomla 1.5.
Could anyone tell me where is my money spent? I could not get support as someone like you said I should have paid to get my "ALREADY PAID" template to work? What is the logic behind? ???
What do you mean by benefit? Shall this be my right to have my PAID template work? ???
You paid for one year's worth of access to the latest templates and software from RT and one year of support. Your subscription expired and you did not renew, therefore you no longer get support. Just about every commercial software component company in the world works the same way.
RT's prices are among the most reasonable in this industry and the quality is unsurpassed. Why not continue to support them?

You are avoiding my question. Support is one thing. My PAID template is not working is another thing. At least Rockettheme shall at least give me 3 WORK templates and after that, if I get any problem, I shall ask for support, then I shall subscribe.
You compare that with software industry? Then having the software installed and work properly is the first thing a software company shall do.
I do not work for RT - I am only a satisfied customer. If you describe your problem on this forum I think you may find that someone will often help you even though your membership is expired.
As far as I know, all "PAID templates" work right out of the box; your temlate should be working. But like Dave said, perhaps we can help you with something...got a link and a description of the issue you are having?
Sorry David. I was so pissed off by Rockettheme's subscription policy. At least allow us to search the theme specific forum without posting question would be better than now.
And thanks for Terp. My problem has posted before but got no answer. (wrong url attached b4, removed).
I repost my problem here:
I am using Vortex template for my Joomla 1.0 site and trying to upgrade to 1.5.
However, I find that the image of the ButtonMenu cannot be shown. I have checked the generated html source and found that "itemX" is shown in the css style for the menu item.
I have performed a clean installation of Joomla 1.5 and then install the Vortex template, change to use button menu. But still the image of the ButtonMenu does not appear.
This is the reason why I said the template doesn't work.
I checked the forum for Vortex and it looks like lots have asked about a potential migration of the button menu to J1.5, but a solution has not been offered and does, in fact, require some custom code......migrated over from asp.net, so not sure I have enough of a command to understand the differences in the J1.0 vs J1.5 code base and how to pull that one off, sir.
There is no fully functional 1.5 version of Vortex (i.e. the ButtonMenu will not work with the 1.5 version). Its not an issue of support per say, the functionality isn't there as the menu code has to be migrated manually which is long and laborious process.
No estimates can be given on this, as I have said in the Vortex threads, but with the new phpbb3 template club and the new RTv2 site on the horizon, our limited resources are focused onto them...and not forgetting the upcoming, and highly awesome December template
