slideshow to fit please help

Guys,
I am trying to fit my frontpageslideshow module between right and left modules. However, I was unsuccesful. I want only leave 2 px as margin on right and left. It would drag right module to out of template.
I asked for help in frontpage slideshow authors' forum but no response up until now.
I tried firebug too, but there is something else which is out of my knowledge.
Can you help me.

The template is Vortex?
A) In the template parameters is there a way to adjust the left, center, and right column widths?
I noticed the FPSS is pushing right column out of alignment.
On the FPSS back end is there a way to reduce the width, currently 726px?
C) If you use smaller images, 500-600px does the module shrink to fit? - Thanks,

Yes it is.
As you can see now it is ok, however It won't fit there without space on left and right.
I am using SWMENUPRO for menus
I played a lot with it to get rig of that space on left and right.
Any idea?

Where is the FPSS published to, a module or the an article on the Frontpage?
Seems that you resized the FPSS to 600px?
Can you readjust it to get it to fit?
I noticed when I inspect it though, the container still seems to be the original size.
I visited the author's sire and went into the back end demo, but the configuration screen is restricted.
