    • Hey Folks,

I was not sure where to post this so I thought that I woulds start here.

I'm looking into Simplweb for schools. It's my understanding that any template can be uploaded. The challenge becomes the integration of the modules specific to the rockettheme templates. When I inquired about that the response was the modules (or functionality) had to be part of the template install ... if I understood correctly.

Is this achievable, and if so how?

    • Modules or Extensions?

Applying a template will give you in most cases 90% of the template's functionality as opposed to 100% if installed with the Rocket Launcher.

The 'other 10%' can be added by uploading the extensions for the template found in the download section.

I'd assume that if you can upload a template to the site, uploading and installing RT extensions, or any other 3rd party component would be possible.

You may also want to confirm that along with the Joomla Administrator, you have FTP access to the site.

    • Nope, I only have access to template installs in the backend. Simplweb.com is a turnkey and fully managed Joomla Host run by the folks at Compassdesigns.net . It is preconfigured with a number of extensions. I was just curious if there was a method to somehow include the additional functionality through the template code and/or installer.

    • But you do have access to the Joomla Administrator back-end right?

    • Yup, but not full access. When you go to the install/uninstall page you can only install templates not components, modules, or plugins. I understand why, and it appears to be a great solution for small businesses and schools. I was just curious to see if there was a way to incorporate the special rockettheme modules that come with the templates without having access to the module installer in the backend. Wishful thinking I'm guessing. Even with reduced functionality the templates are still great.
