    • Hi everyone, I am a newbie so please excuse my ignorance. Can somebody please explain to me how I can access the index.php file so that I can effect some changes. Do I need special software? with thanks for your kind help.

    • .../templates/template_name/index.php and you could access it wirh NotePad, for example.

      BUT, you may find it easier to access it from within the Joomla backend:

      Extentions -> Template Manager -> Click on the respective template -> Edit HTML
