Looks like JomSocial is the way to go. I will be using it with Versatility 4 anyway, with just the top blue menu bar and modules with white background.
If you log in to FaceBook there is just a thin blue bar at the top, and everything else is white space with content presented in modular form, so Versatility 4 is perfect if JomSocial follows the same format.
I hope future RT themes follow that same minimal design with lots of module positions and -hiltes for maximum flexibility. Simple but powerful seem to be the way forward right now.
As for RokBridge + PHPBB3 + JomSocial integration - does this imply that JomSocial doesn't use the standard Joomla user database? - Last Edit: 16 years 5 months ago by Adrian Cooper.

- JomSocial uses the standard user database but it has added functionality like avatars which are stored seperately.

- I wish I had seen this topic before I uploaded CB, which I am not thrilled with. I was going to uninstall it in favor or JomSocial, but it isn't even listed in the components to uninstall! Ugh!
