maybe not the best place to ask but as support at rocketwerx is close to terrible i thought i ask here.
Im using rokbox and all seems to work, but playing a music file seems a problem.....in firefox anyway.
in IE7 it starts a player but not in firefox.
It shows : No plugin matched for playing: www.rocketwerx.com/images/rokbox/demo/rockettheme.mp3
What plugin might that be? - Subscribed to Joomla + PhpBB template group.

What an awesome .mp3
Did you use the syntax for mp3 such as:
{rokbox title=|RocketTheme promo| thumb=|images/rokbox/demo/mp3.jpg| size=|250 15| album=|demo|}images/rokbox/demo/rockettheme.mp3{/rokbox}

yes... i get ...No plugin matched for playing: , and that happens with firefox.
While searching on that forum i saw a topic about the same error but wasnt solved...as nobody replied anymore..
I even had a firefox plugin specially for music.....,found that in a topic based on the same error.
then that plugin was suggested.
i tried that and suddenly when clicked it started playing in windows media plare,but in full player window...and that wasnt right..
so its obvious that the browser needs some stuff but uncertain what that might be...
and the author doesnt mention that either.
but you try it..
... with firefox..

- Check your Firefox options (Preferences -> Applications) and see to what is associated mp3, as for me it's playing on RokBox demo site.

- That's not related to RokBox but to your browsers' file associations. In mine I've mp3 associated to QuickTime.

Every file type as a so called MIME/TYPE. for mp3s it's audio/mp3 so you need to look at it and associate with a player installed in your computer that is able to play mp3 via browser.
Eitherway, you can install QuickTime ( www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ ) and you'll see it working. - / Djamil Legato / Lead Developer /

o.k got it installed and it shows indeed...
but how many will actualy see it ?
you say MIME/TYPE. for mp3s , but although im using firefox with standard setting i couldnt find any MIME/TYPE in the list. - Subscribed to Joomla + PhpBB template group.
