- If you installed QuickTime you can be sure 90% of all the common mimetypes are working. Usually people who aren't able to play that mp3 on your site, aren't able to play mp3s to any other site, so it's "their fault" and you can bet they will install a plugin for playing mp3s/videos.

ok i understand that so far but then they need apple itunes installed...
anybody could easely use windows media player or winamp...
thats what i normaly used..
but that didnt worked. - Subscribed to Joomla + PhpBB template group.

If you open your Windows media player and you force the associations of all audio files it prolly going to work again.
The thing is that somehow those mimetypes got lost by their default player associations (WMP in your case), you can try associating mp3 to wmp or winamp again and see what happens. - / Djamil Legato / Lead Developer /
