I tried installing the RocketLauncher 2-3 times via Cpanel (having to delete the installation each time) thinking that maybe I did something wrong. I tried uploading the zip below the root, for example, I tried other approaches before I finally realized I had to create my own zip file to do it the way one would expect a zip file to work.
I did the same thing
I was like ??? ??? ??? WTF is going on? ??? ??? ??? I was like where did it go? Didn't I just unzip it? Not realizing it was in the folder of the same name as the zip. This is what made it worse...I had did a joomla install/unzip first, then decided to replace it with RT Rocketlauncher instead, so, I kept unzipping RT RocketLuancher to overwrite the previous files and then trying to get the installation to work in the browser, not realizing that as I repeated it again and again, all was doing was overwriting the RT folder (which was out of view on the screen - didn't even notice it the first 3x I tried) and not overwriting the joomla install. LMAO - Live and learn.
As for newbies - I agree with Rowby - the easier the better and having been a serious newbie personally myself...I would recommend that RocketTheme.com follows suit with Joomla.org and insure the zip files are the same for consistency and standardization sake. Unless, you want me to write Joomla and try to convince them to follow suit with you guys.

I will give it whirl, but I don't know if they will listen - I can try and plead.
