For instance, "FTP the folder and its contents to, depending on your platform, public_html or httdocs". What I see is an HTML folde with a lot of folders, one is the template folder with a stock joomla template, is this where I should create the 3 joomla folders?
See the screen shot in reply 16, there’s a bunch of folders there, on my host, it called htdocs, on other’s that’s your public_html folder. If that’s where you are than that’s good news, you’re in the right place.
Note: When using an FTP client, when you login, you’re logged into the root first, and you can usually see these folders. The instructions assume that when logging in you will see these and enter the directory to upload. From what you’ve told me, it looks like when you log into GoDaddy, it logs you into the htdocs or public_htlm directly.
It’s in that folder that you want to create your folders.
Then FTP up the compressed MediaMogul file with data into one folder and without into the other two folders?
See reply #14
Can't unzip/tar stuff on GoDaddy from their control panel. It's a bummer.
From what Sam says, you’ll have to FTP the files.
Extract the Rocket Launcher on your desktop and just FTP the contents of it to all the folders from your desktop.
Assuming I get this correct, then I need to install the joomla in each folder, correct? Do I do that within the Go Daddy CP, or externally via a webrowser. I have the IP to be able to view my site and enter joomla's admin side, do I use that to do the install or some other method?
The install is done through your browser.
You don’t have to browse to the install directory, when browsing to the folder, if joomla is not installed yet, the install process is invoked automatically. and you'll see the first screen...
Refer to reply # 4 for a walk through of the install process, when everything is in place browse to:
