    • Hi All,

      First off I just want to say that Vertigo rocks!

      Secondly, I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to insert another module in a single article layout page. For example, on my homepage I have links to articles on my site and they work fine. The only thing is I want to have other content appear on the pages that those links point to. Right now, when someone clicks on the link they get sent to the article with the header and footer above and below. I want to add modules around the article, like the 'related content module' or a module that shows some random pictures from my galleries.

      The only thing I can thing of is treating the article like a menu item so I can publish modules directly to those 'pages', but that seems like a lot of extra work and then I still have the problem mentioned above.

      Can someone help me out?

      That is the way to go, no shortcuts at least not any that I know, to be able to show modules on a page the page has to have a menu link.

    • I figured this out....

      I can use the {loadposition content1} syntax in my article to call the module. The content1 position is something that I've seen used in YOOtheme. The are basically 'dummy' positions that can be used exactly for this function.

      To do this in a Rocket Theme, all you need to do is edit the templateDetails.xml file in your Template folder by adding a <position>content 1</position> after the other <position></position> already in there. After you have that in there, just assign the content 1 position to any module you want to be able to call within an article. You can add as many content X's as you want to add as much extra functionality to individual articles. This works very well for the related content module. You can then apply <div>s to style the position container.
