Why doesn't the "user background" stretch out??

The "user background" (bottom of the girl) is saved with 750px. Why doesn't it stretch out? It only does when I write something on the frontpage
Do I need to add something in the CSS file? Tried to modify some, but nothing happend.. maybe modified wrong stuff too, but I wrote everything back to normal
