CB 1.2 or JomSocial?

I am just preparing to develop a site with social networking and was planning to use CB 1.2.
Then I discovered JomSocial and thought again.
If the objective is Facebook type functionality that blends in well with RT templates - Versatility 4 in this case - which of these is the product of choice - or is there an even better one?
I have never used CB before - never needed to.
