In Media Manager, I can see the folder Media and under that are the folders New, banners, smilies and stories. Under stories are food and fruit. When I go to put an image in an article I can only see the stories folder and what is under it. Why can't I see the other folders? Do the different levels of folders relate to the different levels of content?
If you create new image folders they need to reside in the main "Stories" folder. You can create as many folders as you want there.
The Templates image folder does not preview in your root directory... if that is what you are wondering about. It is a little confusing... but think of it like this...
Images and media for the site / articles, etc. will be uploaded to your images > stories > yourfolder
Images relating directly to the template design, such as your logo, style shadows and the like should reside in and be uploaded to your templates > images > foldername, etc.
