remove split menu funcitonality

Hi, how do I remove the split menu functionality? I have submenu items but I only want the module on the left to show my main menu (with submenu items), not the community menu (the subitems themselves).

I am searching for something different. I want to keep the split menu and show additionaly the main menu but without the submenu items opening up!
Any suggestions?

- you would have to make a new menu whose items link to you main menu items.

Hi,
I have done this. The problem is that a) I have to take care about two menus and b) sometimes the system does not recognise the right menu parent item.

1. is there a way to show the split menu but not the main menu? This way I dont have to make separate menus for the submenu items.
