    media mogul installation

Posted 16 years 4 months ago
    • I want to use the media mogul template on my existing site. I understand that to use rocket launcher to help set this up, i have to do a new install of joomla. Can I do this install on a "test" domain and after getting everything running correctly, move to my main domain?
I have folders (seyret) in my current joomla installation, I want to move to the new media mogul install. I need to know the best way of making this template upgrade without losing months of work getting seyret configured.

    • Yeah it should be possible to use the RL on a separate DB but i suggest you install the template and then add the modules and such yourself. Here are some pointers: demo.rockettheme.com/jan08_j15/index.php...icle&id=11&Itemid=12

Play a bit with it on a local install and when you got everything working then you can use it on your live site :)

    • I created folder in my root directory to install media mogul into. I wanted to use RL as I can benefit from having sample content while I learn the template. I created a new database as well. If I install the template into this folder, can i move it up to the root level after getting everything working? It says when using RL to install in the root directory but I have an existing joomla install there and need to have that working while I make my changes to the new media mogul template. Will having two different joomla installs screw me up?
