    • Aloha and mahalo for the response.

I'm going to do the same route as you - although w/ J!1.0.x there were some nifty mods like SMF latest posts, SMF log-in, and who's on-line.

I know there is a latest posts mod for phpbb3 but each forum is defined by the admin as opposed to SMf's which was based on forum permissions - hopefully in the future we'll see that for phpBB3 along w/ others - unless there are and I've missed it

Mahalo again for your time :cheesy:

    • PHPBB3 has a much better way of installing and managing extensions. I am sure the extension list will grow rapidly as it did for Joomla 1.5.

The question is - when will PHPBB.com be back?

They know how and where the attack happened - through PHPList - all they need to do is update it assuming the vulnerability has been fixed, and restore their most recent backup - half a days work at most.

So what is it they have been "working on" for getting on for a week?

I have had the same problem, my server was hacked and to be sure that it would not happen again, moved to another host, took me several days to get everything to work again on a different host.
So, I believe it is quite logical that they take their time, but that is only my 2 cents.

    • I agree Roland, but look at the message that is on their site. They clearly state on the site right now that "No vulnerabilities have been found in the phpBB software itself." which by your own admission of being hacked, makes that statement false. Im sure alot of phpbb users are very nervous right now.

My site has been running funky and I worried that I may have been hacked as well.

So back to the my question, has anyone at RT been in touch with these guys?

      Thanks again.
