    • Nanci,

thank you Nancy your advice is great but perhaps a little basic I'm not asking how to disable nodules, got if that was all that was required I'd have done it months ago!

No what I need given GollumX's advice is a method of changing the width of the template, perhaps remove the edge imagery.

      Regards,

      Lee

    • Try setting template width in your site at 100%. You can do that in the Template Manager screen in the Joomla backend. The line in the manager says "Width in Pixels", but I have found that putting in 100% works in some of the older templates as well as pixel width.

How wide is the external site? If it is a set width larger than 1024, rather than a floating width, then it will always cause problems for some of your viewers with older, narrow screens, no matter how wide you set the RT template width.

Can you give us a link to your site and a link to the external site that you want to put in the wrapper?

    • Thanks for the links. I see the problem. Have you tried setting the width of your template to 100% (or close to it). That would make you template wider than the external site, which is also a fixed width, from what I can see. That should allow the external site to fit inside your template on all but the narrowest of current screens.

That would, of course, mean that your template would be fluid on all its pages. Is that a problem?
