Help Changing the http icon

- Hello,
  
  I am sorry if this is not the right place for this but I must fix this for my site and if someone out there know the answer please help me and tell me how to do this.
  
  See this pic:
  This image is hidden for guests.
  Please log in or register to see it.
  
  All I want to change is the mambo icon. How can I replace that with my own site icon.

- Upload your site's favicon.ico into /images/ folder

- create your own custom favicon here http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/
  
  then use ftp to upload it to \images folder of your site. replace the default favicon.ico file with your new favicon.

  I'm glad to see you want to do this. I can't believe the number of sites that don't take this small step to set their site apart. Not only will it change it there but it will help your site stand out when someone puts your page as a favorite.

- Are there several places to find the ico file? I've uploaded the new file to overwrite the old file but it continues to show the old one. Any ideas?

- I upload 2, the first into the Joomla root, the second in the images folder

- Still a no go. What is weird is I completely removed the old file and then uploaded the new one. Yet, it still shows the default favicon. ???

  Try clearing your browser cache--that works with most browsers. If you are using safari, it is even more complicated to clear the old favicon.
