    • Help : i am having this error appearing when I try to install the hivemind template and some others,
      does anyone know why this is happening please.

      Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 548865 bytes) in /home/sites/infinitesolution.co.uk/public_html/libraries/joomla/utilities/buffer.php on line 66

    • Check the memory limit of the php.ini file on your host.

      (Not part of Joomla or the template.)

      You can usually check this yourself and increase it if necessary through your host's CP, if not contact your host and ask them to do it for you.

      Looks like the current limit is 8MB, should be at least 32MB, if not 64MB.

      If you can't do it and your host won't do it for you, I'd look for a different provider...

      However now i get:

      There was an error uploading this file to the server.

      when trying to install the template

      maybe best thing to do is contact your host and ask about this issue.
      have you tried installing other templates, does it work?

      * JFTP::mkdir: Bad response
      * Unable to create destination

      when trying to install comp/mod/plugins

      As well

    • are you running other joomla sites with this host? contacting them is the best option at the moment. really seems to be a problem with bad server settings or something?

    • Yes, run many sites with this host... never had this problem.. only with this one site

      what do they say? seems it isnt template related, because you are facing the same problems when trying to install components, modules and plugins. i am sorry, but i dont think we can help you at this point.

    • Check your FTP settings in the Joomla backend and also check the folder permissions on the server.
