Suckerfish gets hidden behind Googlemap in IE

My nifty suckerfish dropdowns gets hidden behind the truly glorious google map component. Any ideas as to how to put them in front? I don't see this being an issue in neither Safari nor Firefox. Typical eh?

(I could have filed this under Versatility II, but I think the problem is a general suckerfish problem, so I'll post it here.)
PS: The site is not supposed to be live yet, so please don't give me a hard time about other things that aren't working...

- Ive got the same problem with the menu hiding behind the dropdown in the search box www.travelfinders.com/cms Having looked through the forum, people attempt to sort this problem out with the z-index, but its not working for me. If anyone has any other suggestions, i'd appreciate it.

- I got the same problem and I've tried with z-index but the problem doesn't go away.

- There's a known bug with suckerfish overlaying absolute'ly positioned layers. If you google you will find lots of references.

- I looked around but I only found how to fix it if the menu hides behind the flash but nothing if the menu hides behind a Google maps. Google maps is maid in JavaScript.

You won't find it by searching on that because it's too specific to joomla. This is a suckerfish in general issue. something like this:

Cheesy "fix" but it just may work...
Add a little content on the page above your g-map maybe in a module position or otherwise maybe
