RokNewsRotator Editing

    • I have been messing for hours and hours with this and gone to every forum I can find and still can't edit my RokNewsRotator.

I downloaded and RocketInstalled the Perihelion template with full content. Using a Macbook Pro. Tried this in Safari and Firefox.

My very raw, in process site is www.TrainWithAmy.com

My administrator settings (site: user manager: administrator) are: superadministrator and "no editor". I've also tried "select editor" and TinyMCE with no success.

I go to either Article Manager or Front Page Manager and click on the news item that is being rotated. I am taken to the editor. When I put in the html that the tutorials tell me to it looks fine (using the big edit box or the HTML button if in TinyMCE). When I press save or apply, the html code disappears, leaving just the text.

I copied and pasted one that was working and it was successfully duplicated on the website. When I went in to edit the html and just change the picture that was in the code, I pressed save and all of the html disappeared, leaving just the text with a black area where the picture should be.

My goal: add the picture to go with the new article and be able to change/edit as needed.

One area says to edit the index.php. Which index.php? I've even tried to use an external html editor and can't find any index.php in the entire file that has the code I need to adjust.

    • Now I realize that it is all html editing - gets "cleaned" - turned off the html cleaners in TinyMCE; installed JCE editor...nothing stops the "cleaning" up of my html, rendering RokNewsRotator useless. I can use WYSIWYG, but absolutely NO html code in the code editor.
