Larger contentheading for article pages but current size on frontpage?

  • Larger contentheading for article pages but current size on frontpage?

    • I'd like to increase the size of the contentheading (say to h1 or h2 size) at the top of content/article pages while keeping the same size 'contentpagetitles' in areas such as the Frontpage and Blog. If I change the font size in the CSS it just becomes far too large in the Blog intro text etc...

I checked the joomla.org forum and found a hack for 1.0.10 but it didn't seem to work in all cases - so I'll try it as a last resort if none of the extremely bright people on the RT forum has a better suggestion!

I've tried hiding the Page title on article pages and replacing it with an h1 or h2 heading but then the author name, date and buttonheadings take up space at the top of the page and make the layout look odd.

So, can anyone either tell me how to alter the contentheading so that it can become two different elements with different sizes, or tell me how to move the author name, date and button headings to say the bottom of the page?

I suspect this is a question other people have been puzzled by too, so it would be good to get an answer about whether it can be done and if there are any drawbacks to making this change from someone who really understands it.

Oh, I'm using Versatility II and Carbonation - but I don't think it is a template specific issue.

      Thanks!

      Frances
