Need help creating a RSS feed aggregrator page /news portal

  • Need help creating a RSS feed aggregrator page /news portal

Posted 15 years 11 months ago
    • Trying to create a feed aggregrator page for my website.

It should end up looking something like the attached example.
(example was made by embedding an external page on Feedraider.com by using the wrapper functon of Joomla)
Just the title of the Feed and the title of the news item, nothing fancy..just a clean looking, easy to read page...

This image is hidden for guests.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

      Recommended plug ins / components?
If possible it should also be able to display images and videos from RSS feeds

      All help is greatly appreciated

      Thanks in advance!

      Matt

    • Thank you Ben, looks like we have a winner :)

Would be nice if it can also display pictures and video from an RSS feed but this will do for now

      Thanks again

    • Since an RSS feed pulls in info from other sites, if you're going to have many feeds, you don't want to pull in too much info. It will slow the page down considerably. I say test what you put up and see if there is sort of a "breaking" point...not that the page breaks, but a point where it just becomes slower than you like.

Time to create page: 0.217 seconds
