Tiny MCE browse and insert image

    • Nembie warning.

      Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the Joomla / RocketTheme stuff but so far its pretty cool as I'm putting some sites together.

Quick question. When I'm using Tiny MCE to insert an image in an article is there no way to browse my media directory to link the image? Or do I need to know the URL ahead of time and type it in.

      Thanks,
      RandyS

    • Okay, I'm blind. I see an Image button on the lower left area of Tiny MCE and I can browser my images. However the only images I see look like default Joomla images. Food, Fruit directories and None of the RokStories images show up.

In the Media Manager I added a directory called inventory and uploaded some images and I can see them in Media Manager but not in Tiny MCE when I click the Image button mentioned above.

I saw some posts about JCE Editor, installed that but its image browser behaves similarly. It looks just like the default images.

Is there some setting somewhere in admin that resets the directories?

      Thanks,
      RandyS

    • Half Solved. I noticed that Global Configuration / System / Path to Image Folder was set to images/stories. So I changed that and now all directories are visible. Yeah!

New problem is that I don't see the thumbnails for the images anymore, but I do see them in meda manager, just not in Tiny MCE or JCE.

      I'm using Joomla 1.5.10 and a RT template ... Solar Sentinel 1.5.3.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks,
      RandyS
