Will changing templates change Url's

Hi Everyone,
I am thinking about changing templates, but I am ranking really well right now with Google, Yahoo and even the new bing.
If I change templates will it affect the Url's and thus take me out of the ranking for a period of time?
The last time I rebuilt the site it took weeks before it was ranked again.

If you are not moving your site, just assigning a new template the links / urls should not be affected. Applying a different design changes the design. No reflection on the links, and or the database.
There may be a slight variation however with modules or positions that are named differently and have to be reassigned. Same will apply to articles, in this case the address does and will change. All part of the process when changing templates because they are not structured identically.
