I have two websites both running the equinox template, and both using essentially the same settings (as far as I have been able to ascertain). Opening the template in the administrator's interface one site reports the params.ini as "writeable", the other displays it as "not writeable". When I change the file's permissions (using my FTP) to 775, the file becomes writeable. However, if I then store the template, it turns "red" again.
Any idea why the difference?
Any idea how I could set the properties to "writeable" permanently?
What is the consequence of the params.ini file not being "writeable"? It appears that I am still able to change the params at will
Your input would be most appreciated. Best regards
The point s are:
1. I can change permissions using FTP, but they then revert after the first save
2. Why the difference between two sites that are basically the same
3. Even though it says "unwritable", I can freely change params within the template manager, and these changes stick.
So: it probably is cosmetics only, I was only curious to know.
OK, my only remaining question now is: why do the two sites behave differently. But that discussion is probably unproductive.
So as far as I'm concerned, we can close the topic. But I don't know how to do that !
