Hi Guido, Hmmm... That was what I was afraid of. I have a use for this feature, bt I also use TinyMCS on some sites and JCE on others. Guido, when it ruins your code, can you fix it when you turn off the editor again?
Has anyone else had the same experience?

Ok, I have added the slimbox files and js files and also added the lines of code in the index.php, however, the link goes straight to the picture location, and doesnt open in the lightbox fashion.

- Thomas, you should really think about moving to joomla. I don't support any mambo past 4.5.2.X. The 'new' mambo team is really not focusing on backward compatibility and I cannot condone that project at all anymore.

Andy, Much as I love joomla (every site bar the one I need this solution for runs it) I cant use it on this site.
I have a component called leaguemanager for football sites which was written by Marco Biscoff and its brilliant. One drawback, its not comptaible with Joomla. Since Mr Biscoff has vanished off the face of the earth after charging people for this, I cant find the error.
Anyway, enough of that. IS there anything that springs to mind as to what the problem may be?

ok just got back from family holidays at the beach...and maybe its the sand in my head? but Im having all sorts of troubles getting this thing to function.
I've just done a new joomla install, installed sporticus.
I have tried the following...
from editing a content item I gointo the html code section and add the said scripts <a href="images/stories/food/coffee.jpg" rel="slimbox" title="my caption">image #1</a>
and nothing all I get is a hyperlink pointing to the image on the live site.
I also tried using the .js code as shown a few posts up before the script...but still nothing.
I know Im prob in the wrong area trying to do the wrong thing? so could someone please give me a hint or a "walk through" of HOW to get it working? I would be very greatful. :-\ - Don't think, Feeeeel... It is like a finger pointing to the moon. (slap) Don't concentrate on the finger or you'll miss all that heavenly glory.

Hi,
I tried to follow this step by step but I can't insert the relative code (I mean: rel="lightbox") in the image link tag. I've just installed sporticus template...
I'd like to use the slimbox effect over the single images I insert in content news, for example, but I can't!!
nothing by media manager, nothing by editing the html in content management.....
What I miss?
