    • I really like the concept of the slimbox BUT how do I use it intall it etc? I cannot find a good step by step on how it actually is to be installed.
      Any help would be great!

    • sure, just copy the javascript reference and css reference into carbonation, and the files of course, then remove all references to your lightbox js/css files.. your content can remain the same as slimbox is compatible with lightbox syntax.

    • Andy, when the instructions mention to add the 'rel="lightbox"' attribute, do I add this in the content with the link Bot?

It's the standard mosbot (TinyMCE or JCE) that installs with Joomla that gives you a way to 'link' something in the content. Am I explaining this correctly?

    • Unfortunately to call the proper tags with the images, you have to have your WYSIWYG editor disabled, otherwise it automatically erases any eroneous tags it doesn't feel necessary.

If I make a change or add an image, I simply change the default editor in my user profile to "No WYSIWYG", do my thing, save it, and then change my user profile back.

***Also...very important note that I'm not sure if anyone is having problems with or not, but when I put slimbox on my Versatility and Fire sites, I immediately received errors and the site would not load in IE 6 or 7. It seems IE ActiveX does not play nice with the js...so a simple solution that has worked for me is to call the script AFTER the body tag. As normal put your call tags in the header, but then reference the script source in the body with:
      <script src="js/slimbox.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

This worked for me well and now I have no problems viewing in any IE version...except for 5.5 of course.

***Modified*** Forget everything I just said because apparently it didn't like that either...it had seemed to be working in IE and now, KABOOOM!! So if anyone has any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or how to call this up correctly in so it will work in IE, I would forever think you were swell.

Got it, Dave! Thanks. Just one more question...

If I want to edit the content with the Slimbox linked image, do I first need to disable my WYSIWYG editor by selecting 'No WYSIWYG ' in Global Configuration?

    • In my case if I switch back to my editor it ruins the code again.
This really is not very nice to handle.
