  • SOLVED - Can't Click in Username field in Firefox

    • I am having a problem with two of my sites. I can't click in the username field when I user Firefox browser. I am using Internet Gazette amd Versatility. I also have Community Builder Login Component.

      I know it's a problem with the template I am using because I can click in the username field when I user the default Joomla install template.

      Any ideas?

    • Ok, this kind of issue is easy to resolve if you use Firefox web developer tools. When installed, just hit CTRL-ALT-F or click "Display Element Information" in the Information menu from the toolbar. Then when you mouseover elements on your page it tells you what element you are on. You can see when you do this that your banner ad element above the login is actually overlapping transparently over your login. This is probably a result of making the header smaller or something, try disableing the banner add and see if that fixes it. My hunch is that you need to modify #header to match the vertical height of your new header area, as it seems much to large. If that's not it, then somehting else is pushing out the header, could well be the banner ad.

    • You rock man. Un-publishing the banners fixed it. I will play with the CSS to further dig into it.

      Get the Developers Extension for Firefox too mate, it really helps a lot.
