Anyone Familiar with Netfirms Hosting?

OK, I am an admitted newbie to all of this. However i am not a complete idiot. Two weeks ago I installed Mixx Mag template and everything was working fine.
This week I typed my domain in the browser and all i got was a message saying "could not connect to database". When I called the hosting company they said it looks like there is no database. I logged into Cpanel and sure enough there was NO Database!!!
So no one could tell me what happened. Yesterday, I logged back into Cpanel and the database was there again!!!!! What kind of crap is this?
Anyone ever heard of this crap happening before? Do I need to change hosting companies?
Please advise.

Seems all this is related to your host and not the template or Joomla in general.
Really what you need to do is be consistent with a backup plan and have some way to restore your site in the event that your host's data goes 'belly up'.
Lots of members and moderators use Host Gator if you are interested in changing. - Thanks,
